Three Mountains MethodIstván Joós
Guide, author, entrepreneur, creator of the Three Mountains Method and founder of Humania. Above all: a person still on the journey.

My story
In my twenties I became successful as an internet entrepreneur — and I was deeply self-centered, deeply arrogant. Then I collapsed. Addictions buried the life I had built.
I began writing about my wounds as a form of self-therapy. The writing and my early public work opened an unexpected new life. I had not planned to become a guide: I told the truth about what had happened to me, and people began to connect.
Over 21 years, more than 1,000 individual life journeys, two books, more than fifty online courses and more than 1,000 videos shaped my work. The first Three Mountains map was published in 2015 and has been refined through practice ever since.
Writing, relationships, entrepreneurship, spirituality, Humania and community-building keep leading to the same question: how do we understand what is happening, and how does insight become truer participation in life?
I now see answers as less important than attention. My work is to notice the pattern, share lived experience honestly, and help find the question from which the next timely step can emerge.
